Hi everyone, We've been working with Linux Journal on an OpenStack special supplement for their November issue, and they would like to offer an advertising discount to the OpenStack ecosystem. We will also include 75,000 web impressions, a newsletter sponsorship and one Facebook mention/promotion at no additional cost. The online edition will also be heavily-promoted Premium Content which will require registration to access. Participating advertisers will share the leads for each month. Last time we did this with a supplement it generated over 1000 leads per month. And any company who wants to commit to all four supplements will receive an additional 10% discount. We will also make cover sponsorships available for each issue.

[OpenStack Marketing] User Survey - Pls Help Promote

Hi everyone, You may remember before the April Summit we helped the User Committee run a survey to aggregate OpenStack deployments and share the results. The first User Survey provided great insight to the types of deployments and technology decisions made by the OpenStack community. We were able to catalogue 230 unique deployments, and you can see the results presented by the User Committee at the Summit: http://www.openstack.org/summit/portland-2013/session-videos/presentation/o…. Another huge benefit was the ability to uncover new users willing to talk about their OpenStack deployments, which can be found at http://www.openstack.org/user-stories. Today we are kicking off the next round of the User Survey, and we need your help promoting it! The link and instructions to take the survey can be found at http://www.openstack.org/user-survey. If an organization filled out the survey earlier this year, there's no need to start from scratch. They simply need to log back in to update their Deployment Profile. The information provided is confidential and will only be presented in aggregate unless the user consents to making it public. As marketers, you understand the value of data we can collect and share with this survey. Please help us promote it by retweeting @openstack (https://twitter.com/OpenStack/status/377092501729206272), leveraging the example text below across your company communications channels and reaching out directly to your OpenStack customer base. [OpenStack Marketing] FOSE 2014 Gov't Conference Call for Papers Open Through October 25

FOSE 2014 will be held May 13-15, 2014 in Washington DC. This is primarily a US Federal Government IT event, with 3-4% of it's 8,000+ attendees from international governments. Several US government agencies use OpenStack including NSA, NASA, NRO, Argonne National Lab (Dept. of Energy) and more. OpenStack members sponsored the 2013 event including NetApp, Dell, VMware and Microsoft. The conference theme is Technology Solutions Found Here; there is a Cloud & Virtualization track; and sample topics are listed.
