Hi everyone, The main conference schedule for the upcoming OpenStack Summit in Austin <https://www.openstack.org/summit/austin-2016/> is now available! SCHEDULE: https://www.openstack.org/summit/austin-2016/summit-schedule/ <https://www.openstack.org/summit/austin-2016/summit-schedule/> SPEAKER NOTIFICATIONS If you submitted a talk - check your email. Everyone who submitted a speaking proposal for the Summit will soon receive an email notification to let them know whether or not their talk is accepted. The email sent to selected speakers was sent from speakersupport(a)openstack.org <mailto:speakersupport@openstack.org> and contains important next steps and their speaker registration code. Each speaker is responsible for registering themselves to attend the Summit. Please make sure your colleagues read the email and complete this step. MOBILE APP In mid April the schedule mobile app will also be available for download. We will notify the community at that time. Contact summit(a)openstack.org with any questions. See you in Austin! [openstack-community] Sharing upstream contribution mentoring result with Korea user group

Hello, I got involved organizing & mentoring Korean people for OpenStack upstream contribution for about last two months, and would like to share with community members. Total nine mentees had started to learn OpenStack, contributed, and finally survived as volunteers for 1) developing OpenStack mobile app for better mobile user interfaces and experiences (inspired from https://github.com/stackerz/app which worked on Juno release), and 2) translating OpenStack official project artifacts including documents, and Container Whitepaper ( https://www.openstack.org/containers/leveraging-containers-and-openstack/ ). Korea user group organizers (Seongsoo Cho, Taehee Jang, Hocheol Shin, Sungjin Kang, and Andrew Yongjoon Kong) all helped to organize total 8 offline meetups + one mini-hackathon and mentored to attendees. [openstack-community] Meetup Pro Update

Hi everyone, We have officially begun the process of moving groups to our new Meetup Pro account! This Pro account will allow us to take the financial burden off of local User Group organizers, while still allowing them to maintain the groups, as well as allow us to keep groups running in the event that the main organizer steps down. Since the Foundation will be paying $15 USD/month for each User Group that joins the Meetup Pro account, we’d like to make sure they’re an Official group, or at least actively meeting (at least 5x per year), since the portal isn’t entirely up to date. Next Step: If you are the designated main organizer on your User Group’s Meetup account, and your group is “Official,” or uses Meetup to organize at least 5 meetings a year, please email me directly and include a link to your Meetup page. I will follow up with instructions for how to join the Pro account. We will also be having another Community Leadership Planning session <https://www.openstack.org/summit/berlin-2018/summit-schedule/events/22841/u…> in Berlin similar to the Forum session during the Vancouver Summit, so I hope to see you there if you’re coming to the Summit!
