Hi everyone,

Today we discussed the evolution of the OpenStack Powered commercial logo program based on the new interoperability requirements defined by the Board. As a reminder, OpenStack Powered products contain the OpenStack software, such as public clouds, hosted private clouds, distributions or appliances.

Right now, our focus is to educate the ecosystem on how to test their products and participate in the new program. Starting at the Vancouver Summit, we’ll be heavily promoting the OpenStack Powered logo broadly to the market, and hope to feature a critical mass of products that have already been validated. If you currently offer an OpenStack Powered product or are planning to offer one in the future, please take a look at the slides and recording from today’s meeting.

We have another meeting in about 2 hours to give more people an opportunity to participate. And of course, I’m happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Thanks,
Lauren

The purpose of these new requirements is to drive interoperability in the market by ensuring OpenStack Powered products are running a common set of services and exposing that same functionality.
