The Grizzly release is coming Thursday, April 4. Keep reading for lots of great info and stats, and please help us promote the release on Thursday!
The OpenStack Summit agenda is now live! Users Best Buy, Bloomberg, Cisco WebEx, CERN, Cloudup, Comcast, Deutsche Telekom, eNovance, HP, IBS Datafort, NeCTAR, NSA, PayPal, Rackspace and Samsung will be speaking at the Summit.
Register for the OpenStack Summit (or redeem your speaker/sponsor codes) no later than April 7. Starting April 8, the codes will no longer be valid and registration prices will jump to $800! We have more than 2000 registrants and will likely sell out!
OpenStack Day Tokyo, which took place March 12, was a resounding success with more than 700 attendees and 22 sponsors!
OpenStack was a clear hit with the 2500+ attendees at PyCon 2013. Volunteers from Cloudscaling, Red Hat, PLUMgrid, Nexus IS, Riverbed and Rackspace helped staff our constantly busy booth and packed our job board with openings, and the OpenStack Object Storage Developer Sprint was a resounding success.
The buzz around OpenStack among the leading service providers in Europe was undeniable at the World Hosting Days conference in Germany. Kurt Garloff spoke about how Deutsche Telekom has built their TelekomCloud Business Marketplace on OpenStack, and the booth buzzed with activity. Thank you to staffers from Canonical, eNovance, Rackspace and StackOps.

Proof: Significant effort put into testing and systems to manage the velocity of contributions and complexity of the code base by the core infrastructure team. - 700 clouds per day being spun up
Proof: Implemented upgrade testing with each commit.
Proof: The Grizzly Dashboard is backwards compatible and can expose features from the Folsom release.

OpenStack DACH Day, May 24, Berlin Fairgrounds: Local community member hastexo co-organized this inaugural event, co-located with LinuxTag 2013.  
OpenStack Israel 2013, May 27, Tel Aviv:  300 OpenStack users, prospective users, ecosystem members and developers are expected at this year’s event, organized by the IGT (Israeli Association of Grid Technologies) and GigaSpaces.  The Call for Speakers is open until April 15.
OpenStack CEE Day, May 29, Budapest:  OpenStack is booming in the Central and Eastern Europe region.  Website is coming soon; contact Marton Kiss at marton.kiss at xemeti.com to participate or attend.

Thank you for your enthusiastic response to co-sponsoring OSCON in the OpenStack Pavilion, July 22-26.  All eight spots are committed.  We are also planning a similar Pavilion at the Gartner Data Center Conference, December 9-12 in Las Vegas.  The cost to participate with a pod is $12K and all participants must be approved by Gartner.   Three of four spots are committed, however we can increase our booth to an eight pod Pavilion with enough interest. PyCon Australia speaker deadline is this Friday, April 5th! Get your submissions in quickly if you’re interested in speaking. The event is July 5-7th, with a Python on OpenStack mini-conference organized by Aptira on July 5th. The CFP for the mini-conf closes on April 15th - submit your topic at http://aptira.wufoo.com/forms/pyconau2013-openstack-miniconf-call-for-presenters/
The Call for Papers for Cloud Expo East deadline is also this Friday, April 5!  Event is June 10-13th in New York City.
OpenStack Israel 2013.  Join Jonathan Bryce on the agenda on May 27th.  Call for Speakers open until April 15th.
Sponsor speaking opportunities are still available for GlueCon, held May 22-23rd in Broomfield, CO. Get your sponsor requests in asap if interested.
Under the Radar submissions accepted on a rolling basis, but we recommend getting them in soon to be considered.
The call for papers is open until April 26th for Powering the Cloud, a SNW Europe, Virtualization World and Datacenter Technologies co-located conference in Germany. held October 29-30th.
Cloud Connect Chicago open for submissions through April 29th. Event dates are October 21-24th.
O’Reilly Velocity is open for submissions until April 29th. Conference taking place in New York City, October 14-16th.
Usenix LISA 2013 Call for Participation is open until April 30th.  Event is November 3-8th in Washington, D.C.
EuroPython 2013.  The event is July 1-7th in Florence, Italy; please submit your sessions and development sprints soon!  
LinuxCon North America and co-hosted event, CloudOpen North America, accepting submissions until June 17th. Events held together on September 16-18th in New Orleans, LA.
