I don't recall the notifications on the individual directors call for candidates being sent out. The nominations appear to be open (https://www.openstack.org/election/2016-individual-director-election/) since November 23rd but I think a bit more publicity is needed to get the maximum community coverage. There are a couple of glitches in the web pages also - In the candidate application (https://www.openstack.org/profile/CandidateApplication/), the last question refers to the priorities in 2015. I think this should be 2016. - In https://www.openstack.org/profile/election, the "See The Current Nominations" links to the 2015 candidates page rather than https://www.openstack.org/election/2016-individual-director-election/Candida teList/ - In prior years, an email was sent when people nominated you.
