Thanks for your reply much appreciated, deployed OpenStack through JUJU. I managed to get around that issue by restarting services but I have fallen into another issue now, looks like I need to define network time somewhere on the config I am right? When I create a network trying to get out a second interface I am getting errors. Hi All, Deployed openstack all service yesterday and seemed to be running since power cycling the openstack today. [openstack-community] 2020 Open Infrastructure Foundation Annual Report Now Available

Despite being a very different year than most, the Open Infrastructure community, which has over 110,000 community members, made it a productive and successful year. We could not have done this without each and every one of you. One of the biggest milestones that happened in the global community last year was that OpenStack, one of the top three most active open source projects with 15 million cores in production, marked its 10th anniversary in 2020. OpenStack is undoubtedly a success. Millions of CPU cores of computing infrastructure are provided through OpenStack. More than 70 regions of public clouds powered by OpenStack are available for users worldwide. Last year saw our 22nd (on-time) release, with more than 20,000 changes merged in only 5 months. A level of activity that placed OpenStack among the three most active open source development communities in the world. Now, we are seeing users who have been around for years talk about their growing OpenStack production deployments like Workday, LINE, and CERN, as well as new users talk about how they’re running other open source projects in production like Ant Group using Kata Containers, Verizon running StarlingX, and Volvo running Zuul for their autonomous driving software. Hi I have enabled KVM after deploying openstack single node setup. Following entries has been added to /etc/nova/nova.conf and then restart libvirtd.service and openstack-nova-compute.servic. compute_driver = libvirt.LibvirtDriver [libvirt] virt_type=kvm #virt_type=qemu # lsmod | grep kvm kvm_intel 188740 0 kvm 637289 1 kvm_intel irqbypass 13503 1 kvm I still can see Hypervisor Type as QEMU, when I issue openstack hypervisor list command. Is this normal?

Problems and symptoms: - cgoup broken not at all VMs - to find out what leads to this effect failed - if restart a problem VM then as expected cgroups has been fixed but after some hours cgroup broken again - if cgroups has been fixed by hand cpu-stats is works, but after some hours cgroup broken again Now i check: - logrotate - nothing - cron - nothing Add audit logs for cgrups > auditctl -w '/sys/fs/cgroup/cpu,cpuacct/machine.slice' -p rwxa And found only libvirtd processes write cgroups. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, Does anyone have a recent experience with Monitoring? I want to monitor my infrastructure (and not the VMs) with Grafana, what is the best way to do so? I have tried this prometheus exporter: https://github.com/openstack-exporter/openstack-exporter with this grafana dashboard: https://grafana.com/grafana/dashboards/9701 But it's not complete. I want to add Graphite to be able to use this dashboard: https://grafana.com/grafana/dashboards/6653 Which seems a little bit more professional, but I don't know how to connect openstack and graphite. This was causing the keystone errors when Octavia was communicating with neutron. I don't know if that is a bug in kolla-ansible or was just a local configuration issue. Hello All, I have been following https://docs.openstack.org/kolla-ansible/latest/reference/networking/octavi… to deploy Octavia. I was successful in deployin Octavia but when I go to horizon dashboard and create loadbalancer am getting error "9876/v2.0/lbaas/loadbalancers, Internal Server Error". I have checked worker log at /var/log/kola-ansible/Octavia-worker.log and found oslo messaging was refusing connection I fixed it but still getting same error. Kindly help Regards, Moni

Programming Committees for each Track will help build the Summit schedule, and are made up of individuals working in open infrastructure. [openstack-community] Groups Portal Discontinuation

Hi everyone, I think most of you are aware that we’ve launched a Meetup Pro account <https://www.meetup.com/pro/osf/> so we could take on the cost of Meetup from the local organizers. We currently have 16 official User Groups on the page. As of the third week of April, the groups.openstack.org <http://groups.openstack.org/> portal will be discontinued. We’d like to take this opportunity to start an initiative to move all User Groups <https://groups.openstack.org/groups> over to the Meetup Pro account for a single point of truth. This will increase discoverability for groups, and help us better support community growth. In light of the feedback we’ve received from you all, we’ll encourage groups to have at least 4 meetups per year (one meetup per quarter) going forward as a minimum requirement for being in the Meetup Pro network. However, we realize that circumstances that might prevent you from having meetups happen. In that case, please feel free to reach out directly to me. We really want to work with you all to make sure our community is supported so it can continue growing. User Group 6 Month Trial We’ll be offering a 6 month trial period, where the Foundation will temporarily sponsor groups to be on the Pro account (which costs USD $15/month per group). We’ve previously required groups to have at least 5-6 meetups per year in order to be funded, but If the group has at least 2 independent meetups during this 6 month period, we will continue funding the group to be a part of the official network. If groups fail to host meetups, and do not contact me, the funding will be discontinued and it won’t be visible on the Foundation’s official community network. Next Steps If you are the main organizer of your group, email me (ashlee(a)openstack.org) and I’ll send a link to connect your Meetup account to our Foundation Meetup Pro network. If you don’t have a Meetup account, and you do not wish to use Meetup.com <http://meetup.com/>, please send me the link to your group’s page, or let me know how you coordinate meetups. Hi everyone, As we continue to gather feedback and discuss what a virtual OpenDev will look like, we wanted to provide you with an update around the event. While we are still attempting to solve some of the riddles of virtual event world, we did come up with some decisions that give us something to build on, which are based on input and experience from members of the Programming Committee. Decisions: - OpenDev will happen after the Virtual PTG (exact format and timing TBD) - Will not be simultaneous/parallel Tracks so everyone has the opportunity to participate in more than one - 3 Tracks, each on different date: - Hardware Automation - Large Scale Ops - Containers in Production We also discussed the original intent and goals of OpenDev to make sure we’re still heading in a direction that’s beneficial for the community, especially since it will no longer directly precede the upcoming PTG. Similar to past OpenDev events, the goal is to identify the questions we don’t have the answers for, and to use that time to dive in and determine the work ahead of us, working together, sharing use cases, and learning from other people asking those same questions. High-level decisions, goals, and some areas we’re looking for feedback are in the etherpad below.
