Hi everyone, The main conference schedule for the upcoming OpenStack Summit in Austin <https://www.openstack.org/summit/austin-2016/> is now available! SCHEDULE: https://www.openstack.org/summit/austin-2016/summit-schedule/ <https://www.openstack.org/summit/austin-2016/summit-schedule/> SPEAKER NOTIFICATIONS If you submitted a talk - check your email. Everyone who submitted a speaking proposal for the Summit will soon receive an email notification to let them know whether or not their talk is accepted. The email sent to selected speakers was sent from speakersupport(a)openstack.org <mailto:speakersupport@openstack.org> and contains important next steps and their speaker registration code. Each speaker is responsible for registering themselves to attend the Summit. Please make sure your colleagues read the email and complete this step. MOBILE APP In mid April the schedule mobile app will also be available for download. We will notify the community at that time. Contact summit(a)openstack.org with any questions. See you in Austin! [openstack-community] Tencent Joins OpenStack Foundation as Platinum Member

Hi everyone, Good news from the Board Meeting today. The Board of Directors approved Tencent as the newest Platinum Member of the OpenStack Foundation. Tencent is the No 3 Internet company worldwide and runs OpenStack at scale to support many of their popular applications, including WeChat, as well as help build private clouds for government and industry customers. Tencent won the Superuser award at the Sydney Summit and its developers have contributed to multiple OpenStack projects, including Freezer, Kolla, LOCI, Nova, OpenStack-Ansible and Oslo. Nine Tencent team members have taken the Certified OpenStack Administrator exam. We also reviewed some announcement plans for the Vancouver Summit in executive session. Dear OpenStack Community Members, OpenStack Korea User Group is excited to announce that there will be OpenInfra Days Korea 2018 in Seoul, Korea, for two days (June 29th - 30th). Our theme this year is "Open Infrastructure: OpenStack, Containers, and Cloud Native Computing". Open infrastructure is evolving with more open source communities and technologies including cloud computing and containers. Following this year's theme, Korea community would like to use "OpenInfra Days Korea 2018" name to bring open source communities in Korea together to collaborate and ultimately build a wide open source ecosystem together. This is the fifth event from the first OpenStack Days Korea event in 2014. Each of four previous events had a huge success and attracted lots of interest among IT expert, engineers, developers and Executives. The OpenInfra (and previous OpenStack) Days Korea is certainly one of the biggest Open Source Technology event in Korea. The event will be held at Hall E, Coex for both two days. There will be keynote session & technical presentations on the first day. On the second day, hands-on-lab sessions and deep dive sessions including Upstream Institute Korea are planned for participants to experience technologies in details.
