Havana-1 development milestone available <http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-announce/2013-May/000107.html> The first milestone of the Havana development cycle, "havana-1? is now available for Keystone, Glance, Nova, Horizon, Networking, Cinder, Ceilometer, and Heat. It contains all the new features that have been added since the Grizzly pre-release Feature Freeze in March. Including the oslo libraries, 63 blueprints were implemented and 671 bugs were fixed during this milestone. The next development milestone, havana-2, is scheduled for July 18th. [openstack-community] Does Tempest support test nova-network cases?

Hi All, From the current, stable Grizzly or stable Folsom Tempest, I found only quantum network client is provided under /tempest/services, but no nova-network is provided. And also there's no corresponding test case for nova-network. So, I would like to confirm it. Is is true that only quantum network test is provided since Tempest is launched? So far it seems though that: * 'linux' is an unsupported OS for using the browser * latest version of skype implies the stuff that isn't in the linux version * microsoft lync - unlikely * google chat is failing via empathy for an unknown reason. * I don't have an ipad * am not willing to phone in internationally. Hope it goes well but bluejeans may not be a great hosting service for a community that is largely linux based. Let us know a link. [openstack-community] Mailing lists in non-English languages

Hello folks, I would like to test the idea of opening the list server lists.openstack.org to mailing lists in other languages than English. At the moment lists.openstack.org only supports English for the user interfaces, archives included. But mailman supports also different languages and our international community is growing, so I think it shouldn't be too hard to help discussions happen in other languages. Hi all, SUSE has generously donated a booth (#340) and marketing support to the OpenStack Foundation at [http://www.cloudcomputingexpo.com/] Cloud Expo East 2013 in NYC's Javits Convention Center June 10-13. This event attracts senior technologists including CIOs, CTOs, directors of infrastructure, VPs of technology, IT directors and managers, network and storage managers, network engineers, enterprise architects, and communications and networking specialists. This year, Cloud Expo combines Cloud and Big Data, both on the Expo floor and in the sessions. As usual, we're looking for several booth volunteers. I will be there for setup/teardown and the entire show. Hello, We're building a public OpenStack implementation in Nairobi and over time, the rest of the continent. Is anybody on the list interested in talking about OpenStack in the African context or in starting a virtual meetup about it? I'd like to get more feedback about it and meet more people who are interested in the logistics of launching a cloud platform here. I'm also excited to get people not on the continent in the group if they have an interest. Based on feedback, I'll try to set up some sort of Hangout or something along those lines. I have several months researching and using OpenStack and I really want to continue because is a technology with great potential. Here in Ecuador is a little known, for this reason I want to create the OpenStack User Group Ecuador. Documentation for communities (here<https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/OpenStackUserGroups/HowTo#Starting_a_new_Op…>) is information for meetups, hackathons, etc., more focused on the organization of events, but I'm not clear how a new OSUG becomes visible. How the OpenStack Foundation recognizes and registers these groups? Creating a new OSUG is subject to review and / or approval of OpenStack Foundation? How to get a mentor for my OSUG? (the reference mentor sends a page without information). I appreciate your help with some information.

In my experience, nothing works better than a smallish group of creative people working together with brand lawyers to come up with themes, and from those themes generating options, then working through the options for feasibility (web & trademark search). Hello folks, now that the traffic on https://ask.openstack.org has increased, I think it's time we start collecting guidelines for the moderators so we keep having a very informative tool, with consistently good questions and answers. I think it helps for example to pay attention to the titles of the questions and make them as explicit and clear as possible. The titles need to look like questions. Good examples are: * Where can I find instructions on how to setup OpenStack Grizzly on VMware Workstation? * How to set up metadata service on a flat network? * Why do I get "No portal found" error while attaching cinder volume to VM?
