Hello,

This board initiative team believes that growing community leaders is essential and want to make relatively small and incremental changes that result in the maximum positive impact.  The purpose of these recommendations is to use our best initial ideas for growing community members into leaders or (leveling people up).  There may be more recommendations in the future.

Demystifying the Review Process

Requests for Foundation Staff:

·         Fund and organize three or four lightning reviews in a recorded fashion in 5-10 minute slots at Boston

·         Fund and staff any PTL or core review activities that result in recorded sessions by community members found through TC activities

·         Provide adequate support and funding the for the stewardship working group, however, keep a hands-off approach

Requests for the Technical Committee:

·         After OpenStack Summit recovery, start a conversation and support that conversation to offer PTLs and core reviewers the opportunity to participate in recorded sessions of the following:

o    How to do review backlog triage

o    How to properly review a patch submitted by a contributor

o    How to work on each specific project’s individual gating systems
