The 2013 OpenStack Analyst Day will be April 15th in Portland, and we have already confirmed that Gartner and Forrester will be in attendance.  This is a private event, where analysts can hear directly from OpenStack users, who can share their experiences in confidence even if they are not comfortable doing so publicly.

We are looking for big name users with interesting private cloud use cases. If your company has a customer that fits this description, we would like to connect with them ASAP and confirm their attendance. We may also be able to help with travel costs, and will make sure your customer is prepared and treated well.

Ideal OpenStack Private Cloud use cases:

  *   Brand name company and speaker who can articulate business case in addition to technical overview (senior IT leader)
  *   Operational, supporting users and mission-critical workloads in production (not dev/test, academic computing, research, pilot not yet rolled out, etc.)
  *   Running at scale - thousands of cores or users (multi-region / availability zones a plus)
  *   Any operational history, performance metrics and business results delivered

Segments of interest:

  *   Retail
  *   SaaS apps / large scale web apps
  *   Gaming
  *   Finance
  *   Large Enterprises

Benefits to your company:

  *   Attribution as a solution provider for the customer, in their presentation and on the day's schedule
  *   You can send a representative to the presentation, to participate in the post-presentation Q&A

Note that we are also organizing a servive provider panel, so if you or your customers operate large scale OpenStack public clouds, we will be in touch separately to organize that session.

Other data points we are looking for to prepare for Analyst Day:

  *   Major product announcements in 2013
  *   Any stats regarding momentum (increase in customer interest, deployments, etc)
  *   Investment news (company funding, hiring / job openings etc)

We have quite a few RSVPs already, but please let us know if there are any specific analysts you would like to see in attendance.
