Folks,

I know a lot of OSS groups use Meetup.com for user group meetings.  I
wanted to warn you that the default group settings permit spamming, and
need to be changed by your UGs.

The new default on Meetup is that any 3 group members can approve an
event, with or without an organizer.  This allows any 3 spam accounts to
create a spam event.

This setting is in Group Tools > Group Settings > Basics.

(and yes, this is "yet another reason not to use Meetup")
