The Open Infrastructure Foundation Board of Directors met today and Jonathan Bryce asked me to send the summary. The agenda[1] was posted ahead of time. Amy Marrich opened the meeting, and the board approved the minutes from the October 8th board meeting. Amy welcomed two new OpenInfra board members, Josh Villareal (Rackspace) & Johan Christenson (Cleura). Amy provided the board with policy reminders followed by a Foundation staff update [2]. Allison shared details from the recently completed PTG, including successful cross community collaboration. Thierry shared 2025 annual goals: Increase financial resilience, Sustain OpenStack resurgence, and Raise Foundation and projects visibility; he then presented a draft of the 2025 annual budget. I provided an update on the upcoming individual board elections [3]. Nominations will open on November 11. Individual elections will take place on January 12-17, 2025 and Gold member representative elections will occur on January 9, 2025. Allison shared a call for organizers to help with the OpenInfra Summit Europe 2025 that was also shared on the community mailing list [4]. Also, invitations for the OpenStack for AI Working Group will be distributed to OpenInfra member orgs this month. The Working Group will kick off in January 2025.
