The Open Infrastructure Foundation Board of Directors met today and Jonathan Bryce asked me to send the summary. The agenda[1] was posted ahead of time. Julia Kreger opened the meeting, and the Board approved the minutes from the March 5, 2024 meeting. Next, the Board heard a Platinum member application from OKESTRO, an OpenStack and Kubernetes service provider based in South Korea. After the presentation, the Board had a brief Executive Session to discuss the application, then returned to open session to vote in favor of approving OKESTRO as the newest Platinum Member of OpenInfra Foundation. Next, the staff presented an update on a few topics[2]. Thierry Carrez shared the growth happening in OpenStack markets and discussed the latest release named “Caracal” (2024.1). Ildiko Vancsa shared details about the upcoming StarlingX 9.0 release, followed by Horace Li who discussed takeaways from the most recent Gold member meeting in China. Allison Price provided an update on upcoming OpenInfra community events in 2024: the OpenInfra Days[3] in various locations, the OpenInfra Summit Asia[4] in Suwon, South Korea September 3-4, the virtual PTG[5] on April 8-12, as well as other upcoming events. Thierry wrapped the staff update by sharing the upcoming industry events where OpenInfra staff will be present. Julia briefly updated the Board on ongoing activities, including discussions taking place around AI contribution policies and Interop Working Group status. Julia shifted to an active discussion with the Board around 2024 initiatives that the board should drive, including updates to Project Confirmation Guidelines. Finally the Board went into executive session briefly before wrapping up the meeting. Thanks to everyone who joined and congratulations to OKESTRO for becoming the newest Platinum member of the OpenInfra Foundation! 1. https://board.openinfra.dev/meetings/2024-04-02 2. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1uD6v5ENHx8aDRnA0SZWxD_6HInJBBJu71ySY... 3. https://openinfra.dev/days 4. https://openinfra.dev/summit 5. https://openinfra.dev/ptg
