During the OpenInfra Summit in Vancouver this past June, we announced the creation of two new regional hubs: OpenInfra Europe[0] and OpenInfra Asia[1]. Both hubs were created with the purpose of advancing open source infrastructure in the region, facilitating the discussion of regional strategic issues, and coordinating local communities and events. The initial Advisory Board for OpenInfra Europe has convened, kicking off the activities of this regional hub. We expect the Advisory Board for OpenInfra Asia to convene before the end of the year. It’s imperative to have strong participation from the open infrastructure community, both in the regions where hubs exist and globally. To help facilitate this, we are creating public mailing lists to encourage open and transparent conversations, share updates to and from the hubs, and highlight potential priorities that the hubs should be focusing on. The first mailing list for OpenInfra Europe[2] has been created and I encourage you to join! We expect this list to be active, starting with discussions around what priorities OpenInfra Europe should focus on. We look forward to hearing your voices!
