Hi all, We've been working on an update to the OpenInfra Foundation bylaws that cleans up some of the old special-case text for the OpenStack project. In practice, we treat OpenStack the same as all the other OpenInfra projects, so this change is about refactoring the language to match reality, and also reducing unnecessary complexity. I've attached a diff, with some descriptions of why we're proposing the changes. Some of the changes simply generalize the language to talk about OpenInfra projects (or the Foundation) instead of OpenStack. Some of the changes move the specific details of OpenStack project governance out of the bylaws, and over to the OpenStack project governance documents. And, some of the changes move general project governance information over to the separate OpenInfra project guidelines document: https://board.openinfra.dev/en/ProjectConfirmationGuidelines We plan to hold a board vote on these changes in the next board meeting on December 5th. After the board vote, the OpenStack TC will vote on the bylaws changes to section 4.13 and the deleted appendix 4. And, in the January annual member meetings, the Individual, Gold, and Platinum members will vote on the few small wording changes in section 4.15, and one deleted sentence in section 9.2. Take a look, and let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks, Allison
