OpenStack Caracal Coverage - Help Spread the Word!
Hi everyone, I hope you’re having a great week. During the board meeting on Tuesday, I mentioned that we had OpenStack’s 29th release this week which was coming at a time when we are seeing increasing OpenStack demand. After some briefings, we have received some great coverage that are really inserting both OpenStack and the OpenInfra Foundation into strategic conversations around open source for AI as well as the VMware market opportunity. I wanted to share some of the coverage as well as a Call to Action: Please share this exciting OpenStack momentum with your social networks! I have drafted some sample text below that you are welcome to use, but also encourage you to share using your own perspectives as well. Thank you all for your support and for the organizations who employ OpenStack contributors! This is a significant milestone and I want to congratulate everyone in the community for this accomplishment! On to Dalmatian! The 29th release developed by 540+ contributors comes at an opportune time as OpenStack demand is skyrocketing driven by the support for AI workloads and organizations seeking an alternative to VMware. https://www.openstack.org/software/openstack-caracal/ From TechCrunch: “OpenStack is now a mature system and backed by a sustainable ecosystem — something that wasn’t necessarily the case at the height of its first hype cycle ten years ago. In recent years it found a lot of success in the telco world which allowed it to go through this maturation phase and today it may just find itself in the right place and time to capitalize on the AI boom too.” https://techcrunch.com/2024/04/04/openstack-improves-support-for-ai-workload... #OpenStack community leaders gathered on OpenInfra Live to talk about some of the latest features in OpenStack Caracal 2024.1 and what you can expect to see in OpenStack Dalmatian 2024.2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BgAXbFaVqw
