I am pleased to announce that Raj Patel has recently joined our team here at Symantec and effective immediately will be assuming responsibilities representing Symantec as a Gold Member, as well as stepping into Symantec’s Gold selector spot on the OpenStack Foundation Board.

I want to thank the entire OpenStack community for welcoming Symantec into your community, to the Gold Members for the privilege of co-representing you on the Board, and to the Board and the Foundation staff for your willingness to mentor those of us newbies. It has been an honor to work alongside you, and it is truly inspiring to see all the tireless behind the scenes work done, with little fanfare, with little recognition, in service to the broader community, and to the OpenStack mission.
