[openstack-community] OSUG in Poland
Dear All, Happy to be present on this list. Please be advised that our open-source Foundation (Aegis Foundation) would like to run first OSUG in Poland (Szczecin). What shall we do to be included in thie official list of OSUG's? We would like also to use our existing website (www.aegis.org.pl) and facebook page to disseminate information about OSUG in Szczecin (Poland). We can use also our www and fb of local hackerspace, also runned by our Foundation. Best wishes, Rafal Malujda
Hi Rafal, It's good to hear about OSUG start in Poland! Please check the following resources first: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/OpenStack_User_Groups https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/OpenStackUserGroups/HowTo I also suggest to start a meetup.com page and use it to announce meeting events and notify the members of the group. Don't forget to check the other OpenStack user group pages all around the world. I founded the Hungarian OSUG 1 yr ago, and we have a very nice and vibrant community here. Serbian and Croatian OSUG-s started in that week, so OpenStack is really booming in the CEE region. If you need any help regarding the organisation feel free to contact me. When you plan to do the first OSUG Pl meeting? Regards, Márton Kiss 2013/3/31 Rafał Malujda <r.malujda@gmail.com>

Dear Marton, Many thanks for that. I have already read those materials. We would like to fix first osuug meeting in szczecin at the beginning of may 2013. Is it possible since we are not able to stick to this initial 6 months period? Rafal 31-03-2013 13:39, "Marton Kiss" <marton.kiss@gmail.com> napisał(a):

Hi Rafal, welcome to the group! Great to see Polish representatives here, too. On Sun 31 Mar 2013 05:11:25 AM PDT, Rafał Malujda wrote:

I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to with the reference to "6 months" but in general I can say that you should feel free to organise meetings as you prefer. Every team, every group has different cadences, some meet regularly and often with small informal gatherings, while some others meet without a precise schedule with larger events, more formal in some ways. What works best for you is good for everybody :) You can send me the dates and an URL with more details so I can add it to the list of events on openstack.org/events. I suggest you also to send a message to the General mailing list to inform more people of the new group in Poland, ask people to join it and edit the wiki https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/OpenStackUserGroups with its details. Cheers, stef
Hi Rafal, I have the same question as Stefano, where you read about this '6 month initial period' thing? Cheers, Márton 2013/4/2 Stefano Maffulli <stefano@openstack.org>
