[openstack-community] OpenStack Summit Barcelona - Working Group Meeting Space
Just a quick reminder that today is the deadline for official Working Groups to submit their space requests <https://www.openstack.org/summit/barcelona-2016/call-for-presentations/>before we open it up to all the other groups tomorrow morning. To catch everyone up on the process, the Summit team has been reaching out directly to official working group leaders[1] (as defined by the User Committee) to reserve meeting room space in Barcelona. We have four meeting rooms that seat approximately 30 people each with availability Tuesday - Thursday during official Summit hours (not overlapping with Keynotes). We’ve offered official working groups up to four slots for working space and/or BoFs about their specific topic. We’ve also been working with a few groups outside the User Committee, such as DefCore (now called the Interop WG), UX team and track chairs to organize space during the Summit. Additionally, we’ve been contacted by several new working groups and teams, such as the Kubernetes SIG and Performance WG. Starting Friday, September 16th at 10am CT, we will open up space for all working groups to submit their space requests. We will still accept official Working Group space requests as well, but everything submitted after September 15th will be scheduled on first come, first serve basis. All requests must be received no later than October 10th. Please note- all Working Group/BoF space requests are subject to approval by the Foundation. If you are part of a new working group looking for space, please contact me and we’ll add you to the queue. I will also make sure to point any new working groups to the User Committee so they can decide if they want to become part of the official structure.
