[openstack-community] summit talk proposal "The role of the community managers in the OpenStack community"
Hi! I have submitted a presentation abstract for the upcoming summit in Hong Kong, titled "The role of the community managers in the OpenStack community". http://www.openstack.org/summit/openstack-summit-hong-kong-2013/become-a-spe... One of the interesting things about the OpenStack project is in addition the excellent work being done by Stephano working for the Foundation, many of the participating organizations have community managers, directors of engagement, and other such people in such roles also engaged with the project and with the community. I don't want to be the only guy on stage. In fact, if we can make it a panel discussion of all the community managers, that would be best, and would be a better and more useful presentation. Who else is interested in signing up as a co-presenter, and making this a panel? ..m
Hi Mark, very interesting thought, thank you for putting it down. I will be happy to join the conversation. /stef On Tue 30 Jul 2013 01:12:02 PM PDT, Atwood, Mark wrote:

Hi Mark, Rackspace would love to be part of this panel. If our community manager can't attend (because it's just that far away), I'll be able to step in. My community creds are that I've been active in the community since Bexar, I've deployed Cactus into production, I've written numerous posts on OpenStack, I've presented on OpenStack all over the place, and I co-authored the OpenStack Operations Guide. After doing one in Portland to share experiences from around the world, i submitted to do another international user group forum. This might overlap or at least be complimentary to Marks prop. I've always wanted to have a long session so we get time to hash out ideas, strategies etc. A design summit for user groups and community management if you like.
