Hi,

thanks for a great initiative.

I fully support the above objections regarding training requirements,

Furthermore, I do not understand pt.3:

  1. "Group organised and coordinated, multiple people from diverse employment involved in organisation, impartial (...)"
  2. I assume the goal is to prevent individual companies from monopolizing a group and using it as a marketing platform.
  3. However, in my case I run a rather active group on my own with 0 other volunteers to help out, so I think the requirement for "multiple people" should be changed.

Sean, Tom. Stepano,

Thanks for putting los of efforts to make us (communities) great. I am happy with most of things suggested in etherpad, except some details on training requirements. Pls see my comments on etherpad.

Thank you.

Can we give ourselves a deadline, like jm3, for wrapping up the official user group template? I'd like to socialize our ambassador team decision on this at the ambassador summit talk.

Btw, I added some new details to https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/OfficialUserGroupProcess
