I would like to receive inquiries via a contact form so there is no email scraping if possible. Re details, areas of expertise, prior speaking topics, where I've spoken previously, distance limitations, professional references and other logistics are among the most common questions I get when folks reach out. //adam On Nov 15, 2015 10:49 PM, "Soufiene Chraigui" <s.chraigui@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi all I think we have to know: 1. prefered location for speakers. 2. possibility to support travel fees (if exists) by users group. Regards, Soufiene De : Shamail Envoyé : 16/11/2015 06:37 À : Tom Fifield Cc : community@lists.openstack.org Objet : Re: [openstack-community] Speakers Bureau Hi Tom,

Hi all,
There were a few discussions at the summit about making a Speaker's Bureau:

As noted by Gary from LA, one of the biggest challenges in being a
meetup organiser is finding speakers. Our challenge is to create a software tool and some community process to make a 'bureau' or directory of speakers that user groups can count on.
==> A first step noted in the meeting was to define requirements. So, as
user group leaders, what do you need from a speakers directory? As speakers, how do you want your information to be used? As a speaker, I would be okay with my email address being listed somewhere... User groups can use my information to contact me to determine availability for participation in either local or regional events.
In general, I'd be okay with groups contacting me (even outside my city/region) if they think my areas of expertise/interest align with interest in their user groups. I think having a way to input this information (interests/expertise) into the tool might be useful for matching speakers too.
==> Are you interested in joining the effort to make the speakers bureau
reality? I'd be interested in helping with the effort.
Regards,
Tom
