Here's a helpful Bandwidth
calculator: http://www.psav.com/bandwidth_estimator/ There
are a few others out there if you'd like to compare/contrast.
I'd say all of our attendees have high bandwidth requirements.

This was my question for the OpenStack Days -
East event.
I just want to make sure we have enough bandwidth behind the Wifi
since
the OpenStack Summits do an excellent job of making sure we have
plenty
of bandwidth and there are few things in life worse than slow wifi.
My vendors is recommending 50/50 Mbps pipe for the event which we
are
expecting 600 people.
Does anyone know if there is a rule of thumb of how much badnwidth
per
user/attendee makes sense?
Intuitively that sounds a bit light on to me - I can find out what we
usually provision for linux.conf.au which is of similar size if slightly
different audience if you like ?
Cheers,
Hugh
