Any individual member of the Foundation who is an Active User Contributor (AUC) can propose their candidacy (except the two sitting UC members elected in the previous election). Self-nomination is common; no third party nomination is required. Nominations can be made by sending an email to the user-committee at lists.openstack.org mailing-list[0], with the subject: “UC candidacy” by February 16, 23:59 UTC aa voting will begin on February 17. The email can include a description of the candidate platform. The candidacy is then confirmed by one of the election officials, after verification of the electorate status of the candidate. Criteria for AUC status can be found at https://superuser.openstack.org/articles/auc-community/. If you are still not sure of your status and would like to verify in advance please email myself(amy at demarco.com) and Rain Leander(rleander at redhat.com) as we are serving as the Election Officials. Thanks, Amy Marrich (spotz) 0 - Please make sure you are subscribed to this list before sending in your nomination. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Message-ID: <6BAD4DA7-C02B-4699-A36D-A5BF79C43B13@openstack.org> Hi everyone, I hope everyone’s year is off to a great start and that your first quarter meetups have gone well or are in the works! I wanted to share a couple of updates for this upcoming year. We’ve attached a slide deck[1] that includes updates on all of the OSF-supported projects, as well as our 2020 strategy and other significant updates. Please use this as a resource, and present all or some of this deck in your meetups as you see fit. If you think there is content that we should include that would resonate better with your community, please let me know. Need speakers for your event? We’ve gathered this list of speakers[2] who have either submitted or presented at a Summit, and are willing to present at meetups as well. This list also includes the titles of their presentations to help narrow your search. The Speakers Bureau[3] is also a great place to search for speakers. You can now also search by zip code! Branding! Our amazing design team has created banners for your Meetup pages. You are not required to use these, but if you notice that your header image might be out of date, it might be time for a change. Changing images can also be a little confusing, so we’ve created a branding guide[4] to help you out. You can find links to the banners[5] folder below. If you need access to your general logo folder, or need new logos, please let me know. Looking ahead... This year in July, OpenStack will be celebrating its 10th birthday! We’ll have the usual celebrations in July, but since 10 years is a big deal, we want to make this year extra special, so more information on that will be coming soon! Let me know if you have any questions!
